Heritage
Museum of Montgomery County
Located at 1506 I-45 North, Conroe
Texas, Tel 936-539-6873. The museum is housed in a restored 1924 Conroe home.
They maintain
a collection of Charles B. Stewart's papers, and the original drawing of
the Texas Flag.
Crighton Theatre
Located
at 234 N. Main, Conroe, Texas is a beautifully restored
Vaudeville theatre built in the early 30's and is now the home of the
Sounds of Texas Music Series.
Montgomery Historical
Homes Tour
Located in Montgomery, Texas. Montgomery is a small, historic,
"hometown" with shady streets and friendly people. Also, home of
the
Nat Hart Davis Pioneer Museum.
Owen Theatre
Located in the renovated Elections Central Building on 225 Metcalf Street
(formerly 225 Collins Avenue), and was dedicated on in October 2008. For more

Creighton Players were established in 1967 and are
funded in part by the
Conroe
Commission on Arts and Culture. While celebrating
their 41st season as the premiere arts
and entertainment organization in Montgomery
County, the Creighton Players are preparing to
move to their new home; the
Owen
Theatre,
located in Downtown
Conroe.
A
little history on the
Owen
Theatre:
the building was constructed as the Weisinger
Pontiac/GMC dealership in 1948 and completed in
1949. At the time the population of
Conroe
was about 5,000 (hard to imagine). The building
has served as White's Home and Auto Store, a
Firestone Store and county election
headquarters. The
Owen
Theatre
is a state of the art facility, with everything
being first class. It is an arena type
theatre
that will seat 250.

Sweetleaf Nature Trail
Sweetleaf Nature Trail in the W. Goodrich Jones
State Forest is a self-guided nature trail taking you
through a "forest community" made up of insect, worms, reptiles, birds, mammals

This outdoor performing arts theatre located in The Woodlands hosts some of
