Candlelight Cemetery


 

To preserve the history of old country cemeteries from being lost the below was taken from LEE COUNTY TEXAS CEMETERIES Volume 2.  You can buy copies at Texas Wendish Heritage Society

These directions were taken in 1983, so they may not be completely accurate as of today, 7/20/2015.

Take US 290 east from Giddings for 6 miles and turn right on FM 180 and to 9.6 miles then turn left of FM 1697 for .5 mile to gap in fence. Cemetery is/was partially fenced with barbed wire.
