The group meets the second
Tuesday of the month, September through May, at the Carriage Inn in
Conroe, at 11:30 a.m. The first Pan American Round Table was organized
Oct. 16, 1916, in San Antonio, Texas, by Florence Terry Griswood, who
saw a need to encourage friendship and understanding between the woman
of the Americas.

Today, there are 30 Tables
in Texas, and over 200 Pan American Round Tables representing 15
countries throughout the Western Hemisphere. The Conroe Pan American
Round Table was organized and chartered in the spring of 1949, with Mrs.
Earl Gentry serving as our first Director. The Conroe Table has met
continually throughout the past 65 years, and members regularly attend
biennial State and International Alliance Conventions.
