Funeral services for Joann Wright Freeman, 74, of Conroe, will be Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at 11 a.m. in Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Funeral Directors. Mrs. Freeman was born July 5, 1933, in San Antonio and passed away March 23, 2008, in Conroe. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Herbert Freeman, of Conroe; son, Steven Freeman, of Conroe; sister, Betty Pierce, of Washington state; brothers, R.L. Wright, of Crowley, La., and Tommy Wright, of Conroe. She also is survived by two grandchildren, Christopher Freeman, of Conroe, and Julie Freeman, of Denver, Colo. During her life, she was a genealogical researcher for the Montgomery County Library and a member of the Daughters of The Republic of Texas. She also counted herself as a proud descendent of David Crockett. A visitation for Mrs. Freeman will be Tuesday, March 25, 2008, from 6-8 p.m. at Metcalf Funeral Directors.
