First off, I want to empasize how much I appreciate all of the submissions that have been received so far for this website. Newton County TXGenWeb could not be such a interesting, informative site without all of you!

My tie to Newton County is through my ancestors: Henry A Jordan, Enoch S Phelps, Mathew Marshall, along with Ozment, Fowler, etc. I do not live in Newton County.

This is my wish list for Newton County. Any or as much of this that you could help with would be so very appreciated. We very much want to help other researchres be successful. THANK YOU!:

  • Need pictures of historical homes, markers or buildings

  • Information for our other project pages: Newton Pioneers, Bios, Bible records, Obits, wills, deeds, pensions, Who am I? page for identifying pictures, African-American records

  • Cemetery records and pictures

  • Church histories

  • Old school pictures such as class pictures, histories

  • Dates for festivals, church bazaars, reunions, other events for our calendar

  • Family websites, especially those with surnames from the early days of Newton County. Many of our links had to be removed because the webpages were no long there and we couldn't find a new url.

  • Volunteers for lookups
