Mrs. ELIZABETH WEBB, about seventy years of age, former resident of Center, died last week at the home of Long Pough at Noble, LA. The body was brought here. Funeral services and interment took place last Thursday at the cemetery here. Deceased was a pioneer resident of Shelby county and moved away only a short time ago. She was the wife of the late Anthony Webb. No children survive.

Former Resident of County Dies at Longview
Mrs. J. W. WEBB, a former resident of this county, died at the family home in Longview Friday at 1 o'clock a. m. The remains were buried at Longview in the afternoon of the same day. Eli and Alf Webb of this place, brothers-in-law, and John Howard and Edwin Doggett, nephews, and Mrs. Estelle Hunter, niece, all of this community, went to Longview to attend the funeral. Mrs. Webb was, before her marriage, Miss Jane Howard and came to this county when a little girl. She was married to Mr. Webb in this community. The family moved from here to Longview 39 years ago where have continuously resided. She was 74 years of age and is survived by her husband and eight children, 25 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was indeed a Christian and was loved by all who knew her.
